Being a mom is a challenging and sometimes lonely job. If you are an expectant mother or have children up to 18 years old and long for some “grown-up” time, we would love to have you join us. What can I expect?
We meet in Sarver every other Wednesday morning from September through May. Childcare is provided and you’ll get to enjoy a leisurely hot breakfast while connecting with other moms. We drop off our children with our wonderful childcare team at their age-appropriate MOPS Kids rooms from 9:15-9:30. Childcare rooms are located in the same building where moms meet.
We then head over into the sanctuary where our meeting begins at 9:30. We spend time in fellowship with breakfast snacks, coffee and tea. Our meetings usually contain a short (video) speaker, discussion, and a creative activity.
Throughout the year, we organize playdates every other week that are open to everyone, and special events for our members such as speakers, service opportunities, monthly AWESOME Moms Night Outs, an annual retreat, parties and more. Check the Calendar for more information on these events and our public Sarver MOPS page on Facebook for event updates. Our private Sarver MOPS group is where member moms hang out and check in on each other in between meets. Check out the video below to get an idea of what our meeting year looks like.
COVID-19 Response
We currently follow our host church Christ Community Fellowship’s COVID safety recommendations with optional masking and social distancing. We increase ventilation by leaving windows open and installing fans and air purifiers in the childcare rooms and sanctuary where we meet. As moms of little ones we know that young children don’t *get* ‘social distancing’ so as a general guideline, please do not bring your kids to MOPS Kids if they are sick. If you have concerns and questions about attending our in-person meetings, please reach out.
